Position Overview
Under general supervision, at the direction of the Project Coordinator, performs routine clerical work of a varied nature.
General Responsibilities
Reviews and checks documentation for completeness
Opens, time stamps, sorts and distributes mail
Addresses, stamps and mails envelopes and other mail
Answers the telephone and takes messages accurately
Follows up on incomplete and/or non-responsive subpoenas
Maintains record and files
Participates in and takes notes for meetings as needed and other functions not specified
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of office routines and procedures
Ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods
Ability to understand , remember and carry out oral and written directions
Ability to provide courteous and accurate customer service
Ability to answer and log telephone calls and accurately convey messages
Ability to use and care for office machines and equipment
Ability to demonstrate and apply basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in an office environment providing administrative and clerical support for a task-oriented working group
Must have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
