Major Job Duties:
Provides general clerical support to an office, to include such tasks as data entry/maintenance, copying and distributing documents and materials, maintaining record- keeping and filing systems, etc.
Provides clerical support within assigned functional area. (Examples to include processing transactions, review of applications, scheduling training, scheduling facilities maintenance, reconciling financial records, assessing/collecting fees for a program, generating reports, etc.).
Proofreads or verifies existing documents, reports, mathematical figures, budget numbers, or copy to ensure accuracy.
Conducts clerical research, gathering, and compiling information using a variety of resources to prepare, assemble, or generate reports, documentation, presentations, etc.
Operates office equipment and maintains supplies for assigned area.
May receive, screen and direct phone calls or radio communications, and greet and assist internal and external customers.
Opens, sorts and routes incoming mail and correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.
3-4 years experience in a clerical or office position required.
Must be efficient in Microsoft Excel-assessment will be given.
Must be able to type 45-50 WPM-assessment will be given.
Must have a reliable and stable work history.
Ability to establish, maintain and update an organized, accessible filing, mailing, or inventory system.
Ability to perform basic bookkeeping and banking transactions.
Ability to prepare all related reports. Ability to use agency specific software.
Ability to operate all office machines.
