Open opportunity for an individual with knowledge of the statutes and regulations governing the operation of this agency; knowledge of the principles, practices and terminology of the professions licensed and regulated; and knowledge of basic computer applications and terminology. The successful candidate must have the ability to interpret, explain and apply statutes, regulations, and policies; ability to plan and organize work activities to achieve established goals and objectives; and ability to communicate effectively and prepare clear and concise reports.

This is a full-time benefit eligible position, located in Jefferson City. Starting Salary: $29,212.

Position Details

This position is responsible for processing real estate license applications with regards to eligibility of licensure, providing certifications of licensure, updating escrow account information, and closing real estate company files. Additionally, this person ensures applications and requests are complete and if not, prepares routine correspondence explaining deficiencies to the applicant. This person is also responsible for scanning documents to the records management system and attaching them to the appropriate data file, understanding the rules and regulations of the Commission, comprehending all MREC application processes (in order to respond to telephone and written inquiries regarding licensure requirements), understanding application forms, procedures, fees, license status, and continuing education requirements. Employee is responsible for other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* One or more years of experience as a Processing Technician I; OR
* Three or more years of experience in processing claims or licensure applications or reviewing legal documentation; AND possession of a high school diploma or GED certificate.

(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the areas of business or public administration may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.)
