The Quality Control Inspector II handles day to day inspections of raw, semi-raw, and finished goods. Maintaining detailed, organized, and comprehensive inspection records according to the established record control program is essential. Performs analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods according to established procedures, to determine conformance to accepted specifications. Included, but not limited to, physically wearing the inspection sample to feel for comfort, defects, and inconsistencies. Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; implementing change. Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence. Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system compliance, and surveillance audits, including compliance with ISO 9001; investigating customer complaints. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, corrective actions, and re-validations. Assists in developing new inspection procedures for new product lines and styles Follows established document and record control procedures and maintains quality records against these procedures High school diploma or GED required; some college is preferred 1-3 years of quality control experience, preference to plastics and/or injection mold setting Experience with certified Quality Management System (ISO, TS, AS) $15-18 starting hourly wage
