This opening is for a full-time administrative assistant. In this position, you will be responsible for answering and directing incoming phone calls, processing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining a legal filing system including physical and electronic files, greeting and assisting visitors to the office, and generally assisting attorneys and legal support staff. There is ample opportunity to take on new challenges and responsibilities for candidates who demonstrate they are eager and capable.
The Ideal Candidate
If you are the kind of person who self-starts and thrives when entrusted with a great deal of responsibility, this position is perfect for you. While particular assignments will be given to you each day, you will most often be in charge of recognizing what needs to be done and prioritizing accordingly.
The ideal candidate will have an upbeat attitude, excellent time-management, and organizational skills, and conduct themselves with maturity and professionalism. It is important that you have a confident speaking voice and are able to manage a multi-line telephone system with ease as you will be the first point of contact for all incoming calls.
This position is ideal for a professional who is interested in learning the law and growing his/her career in the legal field. We are most concerned with fit, so we do not have any specific eligibility requirements. College graduate preferred. Spanish speaker preferred.
