Summary of Position

The School of Sciences, Sustainability, and Health is seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented, team player with a high level of customer service to fill the role of Administrative Assistant III. This position will serve as the principal support in administrative matters for the ten academic departments faculty and staff housed within the Putnam Science Center, Blake House, and Math Building. This is an 18 month term position, full-time, 40 hour per week position with a starting salary range of: $16.05 per hour, complemented by a competitive benefits package. This position is part of the KSC Administrative Staff Association (KSCASA).

Reporting to the Dean of Sciences, Sustainability, and Health, this position will be the first point of contact for students, faculty, families, and staff, and will perform diverse, responsible, and complex office support functions, including organizing, budgeting, communicating, and coordinating information using independent judgment, problem-solving skills, and initiative to determine approach or action to take in non-routine situations, by interpreting departmental guidelines, including policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include responding to electronic inquiries, answering phones, entering course schedules for each department, monitoring budget, offering support with completing fund management paperwork, and assisting in hiring and managing student workers as needed, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Associates or bachelors degree; work experience in college/university environment; Associates degree and/or additional related training or education.
